Required Events

All age divisions will participate in a round-robin style interview. Each contestant will have 2 minutes in the Jr. Divisions and 3 minutes in the Sr. Divisions to speak with each judge one-on-one.

This is a wonderful time to talk about your platform, tell the judges about your favorite activities, and just have a conversation with them. Show off your personality and let them know what makes you the amazing person that you are!

Make the pattern your own, show off your personality and spunk. The judges are looking for a girl who naturally has fun on stage and can show it!

The judges are looking for a young woman who walks with grace and confidence and follows the required pattern.

Introduction

Tell us who you are! Introduction takes place right before Interview in front of the judges and an audience. Introductions should include Contestant's full name, where they are from, one interesting thing about them (think: what you want to be when you grow up, what you like to do for fun, etc), and a short explanation of their community service project. Introductions should be no longer than 1 minute and there will be a timer. Introductions that go longer than a minute will result in a lower score.

The judges are looking for a young woman who speaks naturally, is not overly rehearsed, and genuinely seems to enjoy public speaking.

Wardrobe: Interview Attire. Will be the same outfit you wear for Interview.

This interview is a laid-back, get-to-know you interview with the National Directors. Each contestant gets two, one-on-one interviews. Jr. Divisions will have a 2-minute interview and Sr. Divisions will have a 3-minute interview.

The National Directors are looking for the contestant that best fits the American Natural Miss Program and embodies the idea of G.L.O.W. The Director's Interview contributes to a small portion of each contestant's scores and is utilized to break ties. This interview will also determine the "Directors' Award" for each age division.

Wardrobe: Provided ANM T-shirt, Denim Jeans of any wash, White Socks, and White Shoes.

Directors' Interview

Each contestant must complete at least 10 hours of Community Service from January of the National Pageant Year until July of the National Pageant Year.

Contestant must submit hours worked, a video or photo slide show of their service, and a letter of reference from someone involved in the project or served by the project.

This component is not judged, but failure to complete this portion will result in the contestant not being in the running for the overall title.

Community Service

Each contestant will be judged on character by independent "floating" judges during Winter Camp and the National Pageant.

Judges will be looking for how all contestants interact with each other and staff in both positive and negative ways.

Character will not be scored, but a contestant with a poor character report may be pulled from the running for the overall title.
